Plugins

Michael Miller

Over the years, I’ve developed countless plugins and custom solutions for WordPress and other platforms, focusing on enhancing functionality, optimizing workflows, and delivering tailored solutions to meet specific client needs. My experience spans a variety of projects, from creating simple utility plugins to building complex, multi-functional tools designed to streamline processes and improve overall site performance. Each plugin I develop is crafted with precision, ensuring compatibility, ease of use, and a lasting impact on the user experience.

  • Gravity Perks: Familiar with using Gravity Perks to enhance Gravity Forms with additional features such as better conditional logic, entry management, and field validation.

  • HelpScout Desk: Integrates HelpScout with WordPress for seamless support ticket management and customer service directly from your website.
  • WPMU Dev Plugins: Including Smush Pro, Forminator Pro, Defender Pro, Hummingbird Pro, SmartCrawl Pro, Branda Pro, Beehive Pro, Hustle Pro, Snapshot Pro, and The Hub Client. These tools cover areas such as image optimization, form building, security, site performance, SEO, white labeling, analytics, marketing, and backup management.
  • General WordPress Plugins: Well-versed in commonly used WordPress plugins and easily adapt to learning and utilizing any new plugin created for the WordPress ecosystem.

Some Custom Plugins I’ve Developed:

  • Google Translation Plugin: A WordPress plugin featuring a dropdown select box for language choices, offering seamless translations without the need for API usage, ensuring efficient functionality at no extra cost. You can see how it works below, scroll to the bottom of the site and try it!
  • Unique URL Access for Private Pages: Offers a straightforward way to control who can view specific content on your WordPress site. With this plugin, you can easily generate a unique URL with an access token, allowing only those with the link to view the page. When accessed without the token, the page remains hidden from public view, displaying a “Page Not Found” message.
  • Schedule Block Display Plugin: A Gutenberg plugin allowing dynamic scheduling for block visibility, enabling users to control when specific content blocks are displayed based on date and time.
  • Password Protection Plugin: Adds password protection to specific directories and sensitive areas within WordPress, enhancing site security.
  • Restrict Editor Access Plugin: This plugin empowers Admins to manage editor permissions for specific pages and post categories. It includes custom code adjustments made through functions.php or separate files to ensure the core plugin remains unaffected by updates.
  • Website Status Check Plugin: A custom WordPress plugin designed to provide critical site status updates, helping administrators and site managers access essential information on site performance, security, and vital tracking metrics.
  • Calendar Plugin: Adds a calendar to display events, supports category sorting, and includes the ability to import events from Google Calendar.
  • Custom Calendar Scraping Plugin: Developed custom plugins to scrape various calendar systems that had no available feeds for import. These plugins gathered the necessary information and generated an .ics file, which constantly updates to ensure the imported data in The Events Aggregator is never outdated. The Events Aggregator is a calendar import add-on for The Events Calendar plugin.
  • Forum Plugin: Created a custom plugin that adds a full-featured forum to WordPress sites. Features include topic creation, threaded discussions, moderation tools, and notification systems. The plugin integrates seamlessly with the WordPress admin area and supports custom styling and role-based permissions.
  • Various Add-ons for The Events Calendar: Adds smaller plugins and functions to extend the functionality of The Events Calendar, enhancing event management capabilities.
  • AI Page Builder Plugin: A WordPress plugin that leverages AI to help users generate page layouts based on input, automating the design process for content creation.
  • Various Custom Solutions for use with Gravity Forms: Developed multiple custom solutions for Gravity Forms, including advanced form integrations, custom validation, and solutions for complex payment processing scenarios, ensuring forms were fully optimized and mobile-responsive.
